Privacy & Cookies

Last updated: June 17, 2026

This site is the personal portfolio of Jacob Cossette. I keep data collection to a minimum and ask for your consent before any analytics run. This page explains what is collected, why, and the choices you have under Québec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA.

Who is responsible

Jacob Cossette, based in Montréal, Canada, is responsible for the personal information collected through this site. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, write to jacob.cossette.1@ens.etsmtl.ca.

Analytics & cookies (consent required)

With your consent, I use Microsoft Clarity to see anonymized, aggregated insights — heatmaps and session trends — that help me improve the site. Clarity sets cookies (_clck and _clsk) and may record interaction events. These are never loaded until you click “Accept”.

If you decline, no Clarity cookies are set and no session data is collected. You can withdraw a previous consent at any time using “Cookie preferences” in the footer; doing so stops Clarity and clears its cookies.

Microsoft processes this data as a processor on my behalf. See Microsoft's privacy statement at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement for details on how they handle it.

Contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, the name, email and message you provide are submitted via Netlify Forms so I can reply. This information is used only to respond to you and is not sold or shared for marketing.

Your rights

Under Law 25 and PIPEDA you may ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you, and you may withdraw consent for analytics at any time. I keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your request.
